Laptop Lock Adapter Vouchers

JW:
Does what it claims to do. Keeps your rMBP safe from theft. Seems solid and stable. I'm giving it 3 stars for a couple reason...

Not all the metal edges have been smoothed/sanded down enough. There are a couple of pretty sharp edges. Nothing that will cut you but I can image they'd be capable of easily scratching your desk, the laptop, etc if you're not careful.

One end fits into the USB slot on the left. There were two issues here. First, the metal that goes inside the slot is not parallel with the top and bottom slot edges or the internal USB pins. It is ever so slightly angled. As a result, it exerts pressure on one side of the internal USB pins of the laptop. I'm not sure if that's causing any damage (probably not) but it doesn't make me feel good about using it. Second, after the first use it scratched the exterior corner of the case around the USB slot. The scratches are not significant but noticeable if you look close. I'm unsure what it'll look like after months of use.

I've been pretty happy with this lock adapter--I couldn't find any other product that fit the bill. I already had a Kensington lock. My only wish is that it weren't quite so heavy and that it didn't have a small piece that could be lost; it also isn't ideal that it takes up two ports. However, given the limited options for locking this style of computer, it is the best choice I've found and it serves its purpose well.

Seems to fit well. I am only a little concerned about the SD card slot getting worn out by repeatedly using it for this lock. I don't like that I lose two slots (USB on the left and SD on the right) using this lock. I wish that it came up around the top of the computer on one side so that my USB port is freed up.
